Notification of Planned Work
Posted by Karl @ Macintosh Electronics Ltd Help Desk on 23 July 2014 10:53 am

Dear Customer,

We need to let you know about some maintenance work that will be taking place on our network, as detailed below.

You are receiving a notification because we had an outage on one site where we ran an onload generator test a couple of months ago.

This type of change has been run regularly every three months on every site without impact for several years now.

However, with further investigation we found one of our pieces of kit had a power fluctuation and caused an outage to several customers who were not notified as this was completely unexpected.

It has now been decided that in all cases where we have the same manufactured piece of hardware, to notify our customers on that piece of kit as a risk to service only.
