Following on from recent network incidents it has become necessary to schedule a series of emergency maintenance windows at the above time in order to undertake IOS upgrades to the routers specified below. Each update will require a reboot of the device and hence anyone directly connected will experience a brief outage. It is anticipated that each such outage will last approximately 15 minutes.
Please also be aware that the network will suffer short periods of instability during the entire window due to routing protocol re-convergence.

From Jan 1 2010 Macintosh Electronics Ltd will be raising the GBP price of domain names, excluding .co.uk, .org.uk, me.uk and .im domains.

Many TLDs (e.g. .com, .net., .org) are priced in fixed US dollar amounts at the Registry, and weakening of Sterling vs the dollar over the past year has forced us to raise the Sterling price of these extension (a move that has been made by most UK registrars). Those TLDs priced in fixed Euro amounts have also been increased for similar reasons, while those priced in Sterling have been left unchanged.

Therefore most TLD prices will increase by 20.5% from the beginning of January 2010. For example a .COM domain name will go from £16.60 to £20 Pounds Sterling.

It goes without saying that if the Sterling Dollar exchange rate returns to previous levels we will once again lower the GBP prices to prior levels.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Sincerely,
Nicolas Lhuillery
